week 8

How your baby's growing:
New this week: Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet, his eyelids practically cover his eyes, breathing tubes extend from his throat to the branches of his developing lungs, and his "tail" is just about gone. In his brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways. You may be daydreaming about your baby as one sex or the other, but the external genitals still haven't developed enough to reveal whether you're having a boy or a girl. Either way, your baby — about the size of a kidney bean — is constantly moving and shifting, though you still can't feel it.

Things are good, I'm really excited about our first ob appointment on Weds.
My mom has started looking at baby bedding which is cool.
Morning Sickness and just plan tiredness are still hanging around but it's actually reassuring me that everything is fine.
I started using a pregnancy organizer/journal this week and it felt a little weird but I keep thinking at some point I just have to have faith that everything is going to be fine and quit worrying about what might go wrong.
So that's the update for this week!

I love that you are one week ahead of me - I feel like you are paving my way somehow!
Good luck with the OB appointment and I found lemons really help the morning sickness (I cut into one and smell it or add it to a glass of water).

I totally get your hesitation. My friend gave me this cute book called "The Belly Book". I held off writing in it until we saw the heartbeat at 7 weeks, but still everytime I write in it, I wonder if everything is still OK.

My pants don't button (and your's won't soon). So I'm keeping the faith that all is well!
